Meet the Staff

Lindi Roelofse, MBA, HDFP, EDI
Executive Director
Lindi has served the local economic interests of Tama County, Iowa for half a decade. Rebuilding after 500 year floods, straight-line wind storms, through manufacturing plant closings, a national recession. And in spite of all this Tama County, Iowa triumphed. Wages increased to record highs, a record high number of home-grown new companies started up, manufacturing plants opened and expanded, taxable sales grew double digits, and today Tama County, Iowa has one of the lower unemployment rates in the US.

Breakthrough partnerships across functional and cultural silos also marked a new era of successes that was hard to imagine five years ago. As we sit here today we have over $812 million seriously vested major capital investment projects in various stages of development with timelines, weeks, months and years out.

On a regional and statewide level Lindi also serve on the boards of various for profit, government, and nonprofit entities that influences the broader systems within which local capacity is being built. In her free time Lindi is also involved in international development projects. She is born, raised and educated in four different continents.

Joanne Husak
Administrative Assistant
Joanne has been with Tama County Economic Development since May of 2001. Joanne is a native of Tama County, having grown up near Vining. She graduated from South Tama County High School and Hamilton Business College in Cedar Rapids, graduating from the executive secretarial program. She was a legal secretary in Cedar Rapids.
Joanne and her husband, Jerome, and daughters, Katie and Kylie, reside in rural Tama.
