GOAL
Produce the most welcoming festival in the history of the universe
that authentically and respectfully celebrate the awe and beauty of diversity
and embody these qualities from planning to implementation.
FRI. MAY 4, 2012

- This day would focus on educational component associated with valuing diversity as an asset and how we can support, learn and benefit from the fact that we are not all the same.
- It has been proposed that this could take on a TEDxTamaCounty kind of format.
- Currently asking community to get involved in helping plan this education day, concept and setup. The goal is to have every committee be diverse so we also learn from experience about making decision in collaboration with people having diverse points of view.
SAT. MAY 5, 2012
2 p.m. – 8 p.m.
(Meskwaki outdoor arena has been proposed for a location)
- Family Fun Entertainment: rich diversity in music, dance, games have been proposed
- Vendors: rich diversity in foods, drinks, arts and crafts have been proposed
- Currently asking community to get involved in planning entertainment lineup, vendors, etc The goal is to have every committee be diverse so we also learn from experience about making decision in collaboration with people having diverse points of view.
OVERALL
Also asking for people get involved in the overarching parts of planning this event and collaborate in making the strongest possible decisions with the resources available to us. We are looking for more people to get involved in the following committees:
- Finance Committee
- Traditional Media Committee
- Social Media Committee
- Advertising Committee
- Volunteer recruitment
- Communication Committee
- Location Committee
