Iowa is already #1 in feeding and fueling the nation as a net exporter in many energy related categories. But are there ways to do this more efficiently? Getting energy to bigger markets without losing … energy? Clean Line Energy believes they have a solution. And they may be willing to pay Tama County landowners, and community stakeholders an estimated $250,000+ in new property taxes for right-of-way to accomplish their vision.
This week Clean Line Energy is hosting open houses in Tama County and surrounding areas to discuss the proposed corridor for a DC line that would export energy more efficiently from Iowa to major consumption markets. If you are a landowner in the northern part of the county (see map below) or a local leader who wants to stay informed on next generation energy solutions, you are welcome to visit with leaders on this project and share more information about our area.
