The 1929 real world murder of Scott Rouse at Whiskey Bottom had never been solved. But last year over 120 people came together at Pilgrim Heights Camp & Retreat Center in rural Montour and assumed a unique character from the Tama County history books to piece together the originally scripted mystery with secrets to protect and info to share….and to indulge in bootlegging. And on Saturday Jan 21, 2012, at 6 p.m. we plan on doing something similar at the Dysart Country Club. We would love to have you join us to help solve the fictional and humorous “Case of the Motercoach Murder”.
This year’s Murder Mystery Dinner is once again presented by the Tama County Convention & Visitors Bureau and will feature the acting talent of the Wolfcreek Players. The premise of the “The Case of the Motorcoach Murder”, is that Harry Cooper, a tour group leader, falls ill and then dies during a trip to the Brainerd Lakes area. It is determined that Harry is the victim of a murder. And that is when all the fun and finger-pointing starts.
The show will feature four live actors and a little help from a few members of the audience. During the very first moments of the play a covered body will be rolled out onto the middle of the dining room floor. The audience will then be led through the investigation by amateur private eye and gumshoe Sam Club.
