Tama County Community Foundation now taking 2014 grant applications

The Tama County Community Foundation, an affiliate of the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa, would like to announce that applications for the 2014 grants will be available on Friday, November 1, 2013.

Applications may be found online at www.tamaccf.org.  The deadline to apply is midnight on January 31, 2014.  Potential applicants should note that the application process is only online.  An applicant tutorial and video are available at www.tamaccf.org.  Grant awards will be announced in March.

Two grant applicant trainings will be held.  The first will be on November 2, 9:00 a.m. at the Clutier City Hall.  The second will be on Thursday, November 7, 5:30 p.m. at the Toledo Public Library.  Both trainings should last about an hour; there will be governing committee representation at both trainings to answer questions.

Eligible applicants must be a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, a governmental body (school, city, county), or a charitable project with a qualified fiscal sponsor.  Grants may be awarded in the following areas:  arts and culture, community betterment, education, environmental protection and education, health, historic preservation, and human services.  For specific questions on applications and eligibility please contact Angie Shaffer at the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa at (319) 287-9106, extension 18.
