Murder Mystery Dinner 2010

The Whiskey Bottom Estate Sale, 1929
Sat. Oct 30  |   6-9 p.m.  |  Pilgrim Heights Center

Come help solve the murder at Whiskey Bottom.
The original Tama County Mystery from 1929 has never been solved, but that may all change at the estate sale full of characters, games, and good old-fashioned Tama County food and hospitality.

How does this Murder Mystery and Dinner work?
Each attendee will be given an 1929 era character inspired by the Tama County history books, info to share, and secrets to protect (but no lies allowed!). For eight weeks, starting September 2010, clues to the story and your character will appear in the Tama/Grundy Newspapers and/or online:

Week 1 Clue
Week 2 Clue
Week 3 Clue
Week 4 Clue
Week 5 Clue
Week 6 Clue
Week 7 Clue
Week 8 Clue

How can I and/or my business be a part of this event?

  • Option 1: Buy character and dinner tickets: $25/person
  • Option 2: Businesses/organizations can donate products or services to the event’s estate sale

Where can I get my tickets and/or donate?
All Tama County Convention and Visitors Bureau organizations can help you get you set up.  The sooner you get your donations and tickets in, the higher the likelihood your donation will be a main part of the story line. DEADLINE FOR JUICY ROLES IS OCTOBER 15. After that date, you can still buy tickets, but you run the risk of being cast as a villain ;)
Checks can be made payable to Tama County CVB
